I was taking a look at my wish list today, and (as always) checking out online rules. I rarely if ever purchase a game without reading through the rules. As a couple games on my list were by Asmodee, I went to their web site to download the rules. However, upon looking, I found that neither Snow Tails nor Formula D had rules available. In addition, I checked out a game I already own (Fire & Axe), and couldn't find rules for that either. And yet the rules for some (Ghost Stories, Jamaica) are posted there. What gives?

I had thought that Asmodee posted all rules in the past, but could be mistaken. Is this something new? And new or not, why would they not post them? Unfortunately, both games look quite nice, but will be moving way down on my wish list until I can check out the rules. Oh well. shake

You can find the rules right here on good ol' BGG in the files section of each game. Even Fire and Axe, along with an explanation of why they don't have the rules posted any more.

Thanks Jeff! Very nice of you to provide the links for me.

I downloaded the rules and will give them a thorough read soon. From my initial look, those appear to be non-Asmodee edition rules. I'm sure that they'll give me the basic idea, but I know that Formula D has made some changes from Formula De. I still don't quite understand Asmodee's policy, but this should help me decide if either/both of these games are right for me.

Thanks for pointing this out. I didn't even think to look for the rules on BGG, as it's usually frowned upon (from my recollection anyway) to upload things like that. Do you have a link to the thread(s) where they state their reasoning? I'll poke around a bit to see if I can find something. Maybe it'll make sense then, but for now I consider it very odd.

Asmodee is changing is website, for the moment it's very difficult to change anything but as soon as we get the new one we will be more able to do updates and post the rules of the games.

For Fire & Axe, it is not an Asmodee game anymore.

Sorry for any inconvenience.
