The jelly from the aloe plant is the best thing I've ever found to soothe sunburn.

Try putting a bottle of vinegar into a full bathtub, that will pull the red and burn right out. Actually put the contents of the bottle of vinegar in, if left in the bottle it won't work very well.

Cool, damp cloth or paper towel. Don't use water that's too cold.

No, sunburn. I don't get sunburn.

I didn't until my mid-20s. When I was a child, sunblock was unheard of, and in summers I'd get so dark that one September returning to school an ignoramus called me "paki."

I still only get it when I'm very careless, and it turns into a tan the next day, but I do take a lot more precautions (slip, slap, and sometimes slop) than I did 20 years ago.

Sooth is an adjective. I don't know how to adjective your sunburn. I know it would be soothing to me if people would pay more attention to these details.

Sooth is also a noun. I've never heard it used as an adjective before. You learn something new every day!

(To the OP, I think you wanted "soothe." But what do I know? I had to google "sooth sunburn" to figure out how to spell it right myself! And try some Noxzema -- it works wonders.)

Nobody said sooth was *only* an adjective. I do know how to noun his sunburn, but I don't feel like elaborating.

Don't ever try to make tinier writing to spite those of us with progressive lenses again.

No, I mean, I live in the North Of England. We don't get sun. Sunshine. Doesn't happen here. Today, July, cold hard rain.

Trench-foot, I get that all the time. Sunburn, not so.
