No doubt it belongs there, but I barely have enough time to waste in one forum, let alone two. I think I've posted in Chit-Chat twice.

Besides, surely the ultimate question about life, the universe and everything is religious?

And who said, "There are no dumb questions."

Sorry, I gotta agree with Tripp. Bull Chit belongs in Chit Chat. Bull Shit belongs in RSP, Etc

It's ok to post some things in Chit Chat. Really, no one except DW will give you any shit for posting in Chit Chat as well as RSP.

Yeah, I get it. This is off-topic for the forum. Whee.

My point is simply that this is the only forum on the Internet that I post on. So if I feel like telling my online friends that I'm 42 with an Adams reference, doing so on Chit-Chat is appropriate but also useless.

I apologize to anyone -- especially DWTripp -- who feels that I've wasted their time with an OT post.

Damn. I'm wired to disagree automatically with anything you say. Do I have to leave now, or is this a growth moment?

You've now made it 9 years longer than Jesus did. How does that make you feel? Would Jesus have been wiser, more cynical, or both if he had made it to 42?

Another question: if Jesus had died at 42, how many people would claim that Adams' choice of 42 was a reference to Jesus being the ultimate answer?

Just to make this thread totally RSP appropriate with the bonus fun of vexing Marshall...

I will make Chad a gift of a bit of biblical controversy.

A poll about Methuselah

Poll
Methuselah died:
In the Great Flood because he was not on the Ark.
The year of the Great Flood but before it started (his death as the last righteous man other than Noah's family being the trigger of its start give or take a few months)
What the heck are you talking about Meerkat?
Where the hell is our "there was No Great Flood" option you silly creature?
      17 answers
Poll created by Meerkat

You can thank me later Chad.
One Geek to another... May you live long and prosper.... just like Methuselah.

I'll do my little part to make this properly non Chit Chat.

I am shocked to see that folks are talking as if Jesus is dead. He is not. How much does it matter that he died before the age of 42 if he is risen and lives on as a glorified and immortal being? It matters not a whit, I say!

Wait, are you saying that it doesn't matter that Jesus died? Do you think that his death was irrelevant? I thought you called your self a Christian?

Ugh, did you even read my post? It doesn't matter that he died before the age of 42 which was the established context in which I made my comment. I hate it when people twist my words just to be argumentative!

If you had posted you had gotten a birthday blow job, which is no one's business, no one would have thought a thing. Darn, now I feel like I was too harsh. Happy birthday. By the way, I used to be 42. I think it was from 1995 through 1999. I was born in 1950, so... you do the math.
