I just purchased the game two days ago, and already everyone in my group loves it. I've taken a look at a lot of the newbie posts already and have some questions of my own I didn't see listed.

Our group has two girls that enjoy normally playing female characters, and the guy like the human type characters more then the monsters or undead things. I've been looking everywhere and can't what characters are added in any of the expansions besides legend. Is there an expansion that adds more humanish characters and another female character or two,

We have only played two sessions and the players have it easy to blow through monsters so far, I was planning to get well of darkness because I hear it makes it harder. Do the vanilla quests get harder eventually?

The Heroes have levels, I assume everything gets reset as if a new quest has started and nothing from the previous game carries over. Just making sure we are doing it right. Characters don't keep conquest tokens, armor weapons, OL doesn't keep power cards ect.

As far as rules go no problems yet besides a guy that has the daze token gets dark charmed during overlords turn, and makes him attack a second time. Player says he already used his one attack, OL says other wise and hits the person behind him.

Oh, one more question, I've been looking to see if I can buy extra dice for the game so the players don't have to share as much, but not much luck there, any place known to buy more. I would be ever so thankful.

I'm a newb too.

If you intend to play basic Descent rather than RTL then i deffinitely recommend Well of darkness, get some rules fixes replacement cards, new beasties and 6 new heroes who are pretty good, sure a couple of them were Women think they were all human....

I could use an extra set of dice as well, sure i saw somewhere that someone sold them, can't remember where though. Check the FFG website?

Yes. Descent: The Road to Legend is the campaign expansion.

Dark Charm is not a normal hero action, it's the OL's event card. It doesn't matter, how many times the hero attacked this turn (btw. there are certain card combinations that allow a hero to attack at least up to 4 times, so the two attacks/turn are not a hard limit).

You may want these, but they are sold out at the publisher level. Try to find a game store with some leftover stock, or some of you may try to use a simulator.

FFG has them, I ordered 3 extra sets from them, the cost isn't bad, but the shipping is annoying. I'd definately recommend getting at least one extra set simply because I hate swapping dice around the table.

edit: haven't checked FFG for these in a while, so they may indeed be sold out as noted above.

Dice
More extra sets of Road to Legend dice, and base Descent dice are getting made, and will be in stock some time this summer. They're not quite shiny enough to make it to the 'Upcoming Games' site here:
http://new.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_upcoming.asp

Check back periodically at the store they'll be added as soon as we receive them. (no, I don't know when that will be even by month...)

Yay! My fellow players have been complaining about gold & silver dice shortage for months...

Say, Thaadd... are there FFG customer service reps called "Krieg", "Kratz" & "Gata"? Just curious... laugh

Others have answered the other questions.

Yes, the other vanilla quests get a bit harder.

The first two quests are basically big tutorials. The remaining vanilla quests are a bit harder, but still reasonably easy (with one exception) for 4 heroes.

When you start a quest (#7?) with a relic called 'Soulbiter', then you are in for a real challenge. Most groups lose this quest multiple times, usually only conquering it when they get one or more of certain skills which make things easier specifically in that quest.
