So, I've started scouring the thrift stores looking for old games, going from site to site trying to find that ONE game I have to have and printing up PnP games, bagging all the chits by color, putting them into labled legal envelopes and making custom boxes for them.

On top of that, I've been driving everyone nuts giving them specific details about games and why their suggestion to play Monopoly is stupid.

Am I addicted?

You have an account here.
You have an avatar.
You have multiple microbadges.
You have asked this question out loud.

The answer is: no more than the rest of us.

Just making sure.

The first step to recovery is realizing you are addicted devil

Your addiction is as comparing having chocolate cravings to being a crack whore. Trust me, you're still down in the realm of the chocoholic. Probably not a bad place to be.

You are addicted when you start trying to hide your purchases from your wife.

This means there might be big differences between how deep you actually are depending on how permissive your wife is.

This game is broken... shake

Does it count if you just do wife timing?

IE, I got $75 today for selling some old junk in the house, so clearly a $75 game order is due...

Maybe a little more, spread out the shipping charge makes everything a little less expensive overall.

I don't like the sound of this. A few months ago I bought some games online and changed the sending adress to the adress of my parents, because I didn't want Anne (my girlfriend) to find out I was buying new games, yet again.
And worst of all I said to my parents that the packages where send to them because it was a surprise for Anne.blush

I am a bad, bad man.

Based on the above, it sounds like you're an addicted, OCD-style collector -- and not so much a gamer.

Unless your wife is the one buying them in the first place...

"Honey can I get ______?"
"No, because Tanga had a sale on ______ and I bought it."

Yeah, LordDillon says he needs a microbadge, "My wife has too many games!" (well, he has too many dice!)

Have you ever received a game for an anniversary present?

Have you ever tried to make a Knizia reference, to something not related to anything having to do with a boardgame?

Does ASL no longer mean, "age, sex, location"?
