Okay, so we're not going to have a tournament. But we do seem to have a great deal of interest in an excellent game series.

Just thought I'd throw this out there - who has an interest in learning/playing, what games (Europe, Pacific, Battle Packs) and how many of us are bringing their games with?

The Coat of Arms of Clan Montgomery - Scotland. Yes, that's a woman with the head of a savage in her hand, and an anchor. No clue what it means, but it's cool.

Great thread, scoutmom. Glad you linked it to the Wargame Meet-Up!

I'd like to play AT LEAST 1 game of Pacific or Mediterranean (I just received them in the mail). I can bring either copy (not both, I'm flying!)

Let me know what you guys prefer.

The rules don't change that much, do they? I would imagine the system stays the same from set to set with different type units and a different card mix.

If there's a consensus, here, I'll bring which ever one people want to play more.

Chris

I would like to play any of them. I want to learn all of them. I can bring one (Have them all, but I'm flying too) I have only played CC:E once solo, though, so I'm quite the noob.

I'd be in for playing a game or two. I've only played CC:E, but it's been quite a while.

I've taught CC:E twice now, but I still feel like I'm learning the game myself. But there's certainly plenty of experienced players out there. Perhaps they might chime in and let us know if they'll be attending?

Cindy, good luck at BGG Con and thanks for helping to gather the energy there! If a lot of people learn together and share a positive experience while they are learning, it will be a great time.

It could very easily become a Combat Commander con for me, if I'm not careful! I really love the system but have only dabbled in CC:E about 10 scenarios, a couple of the paratroops expansion, and a few out of Med. They are making them faster than I can play them!

I still like the idea of a fun little tourney, tho. Regardless, I'll be there with all my CC stuff.

I tell you I can't make it later and later each year. Plotting out the trend for the past few years, the prediction for this year is that I cancel after I attend BGG.con...so it looks like I get to be a real-life thorn in your side instead of just an imaginary one.

I'm always up for CC, and willing to teach. Not sure yet if I can bring a copy - I have counter trays for all the nationalities and it takes up a bit of space. My CC is still in shrink - that needs to change soon.

How did you get involved with all this game stuff if you can't play?

I can teach Pacific or Europe. With an experienced player I can play Paratroopers, Stalingrad, or Med (as long as I'm not the one playing French or Italians).

I'll bring all of the above.

Anyone think the Normandy expansion will be out by BGG Con? I've preordered it and would like to play if it's in my possession.

I don't think that's in the cards. According to the August GMT newsletter, it was pushed back to December.
