It'd be more appropriate if it was World of Warcraft. I tell my wife all the time that as long as my oldest is playing it, he hasn't tasted from the forbidden fruit. Because if he had, WoW woud be the last thing on his mind.

Actually, that's not the whole comic, which can be found here:
Warning: it's a little bit graphic.

I tried to use D&D to prevent teen pregnancy when I was a teen, but the players manual hurt my wiener trying to don it before sex.

You know, the strip is much funnier without the last panel. And that has nothing to do with any "graphic" elements. It's just that the joke is complete in panel 4.

I agree. The last panel wasn't necessary.

It could have cut to prom night -> kid wearing a wizard hat on his date, or prom night-> kid in basement with his friends, but even that is implied by the strip anyway.

The human race, to which so many of my readers belong, has been playing at children's games from the beginning, and will probably do it till the end, which is a nuisance for the few people who grow up. - GKC

The strip is funnier without the last panel.

However, if using this method do not confuse RPGs with Wargaming, as the effect is actually quite the opposite:

It wasn't a new punchline, though. At best, it was belaboring the original punchline. At worst, it was undermining it. (Is this a metaphor? Did the Dad misunderstand how D&D was supposed to accomplish the task? If it is a metaphor, what does it even mean? Why is he at the prom with a hot girl at all? Etc.).
