Greetings all:

I'm new to the forum. I enjoy board games and collect a few ones of interest, but I wouldn't say I'm a hardcore gamer. I would really like some help trying to identify a game from my childhood. I no longer have the game and would like to reacquire it sometime.

As I recall, the game was similar to Operation, but the them was a pirate's treasure. The player would follow a path (I think) and attempt to pick up treasure along the way. Any ideas what this might be? Thanks.

Looks like a match.

Is this game from the proper time period... in other words, how long ago did you play this pirate game?

I guess that it has a slight resemblance to Operation. A little bit, maybe.

Guys:

Thanks for the responses! At the very least, I feel I'm getting some answers on the quest of mine.

I'm 100% positive it's not Piraten-Schatz. I don't remember any cards or money associated with it; also, neither the red octopus or the pieces one is supposed to pull out look familiar. I remember the goblet being the most difficult piece to get.

I played the game during the late 1970's. We moved in 1981 and the game got lost in the move.

That one would fit the 1970s time frame!

The title Sunken Treasure sounds familiar and is certainly the right decade, but in the pictures, I didn't see different shapes to be pulled out. They all looked like coins and I distinctly remember the goblet. This is good, though - we're eliminating some possibilities.
