I would want to play with figures instead of cubes.

So how much space is there in each square? Is there a stacking limit?

I've got about 5000 in 25mm to choose from; less in 15mm.

Wonder if they would sell me an enlarged map so the spaces are about 4" on a side?

Pretty steep... How big would the spaces be if you enlarged it to a "full sheet" size, and printed it on ordinary non-glossy paper the same as magazine wargames maps?

Full sheet and half sheet are standard sizes in the printing trade.

Ordinary paper should have a lifetime of at least a decade. After that long, one can always buy another map.

If it became a regularly played game. OTOH another way would be to divide the enlarged map into sections that are small enough to print cheaply; the user could then glue them onto a large foamcore board or just lay them out.
