So the wife and I sit down and I set up a 2-player game for us to try.I deal out the warships and raiders and there I spot it.

On the drawing of the Iltis is a night scene, with a crescent moon and some stars in the background.

And within the crescent of the moon THE ARTIST HAS PLACED A STAR!

That of course is astronomically impossible and now I have to deal with this every time I play.

Clearly, every time my wife (or other opponent) has the Iltis in play, I will have to give it targeting priority to sink it ASAP and put it out of my misery.

Other than that, every thing else seems fine and dandy.

But putting a star within the moon's crescent??? GRRRRRRRR...yuk

Never play block wargames with a dentist, they have those little mirrors to peek behind the block.

I thought it was going to be the symbols on the ship cards and the coins. They were too small for me to read easily.

The symbols on the coins are pictures of dice. They are there to tell you what dice to throw. As all of the dice are different colors it is quite easy to tell which dice to use.

As to the star inside the moon area, it has zero effect on play.

You have just identified an excellent application for a black Sharpie.

Yes, I can tell the colors fairly well, the symbols in the upper right of the ship cards where the one I had trouble making out. I would have liked to have them a bit larger. Over all I was very pleased with it.

In some of our local stores, someone has found another excellent app for a black Sharpie: putting mustaches on all the Hannah Montana pictures on the merchandise and signs. And that's a lot of mustaches to have to draw!

And I've turned off my rant mode. But as a certified storm spotter for the National Weather Service and a very amateur astronomer, I felt someone needed to speak out on this vexing card.

Rob (and Chick)

I offer you thumbs-up. When I get my copy, that card will be amended. Iltis will become a conversation piece.

Do what you can, with what you've got, where you are.

My game arrived today. I found the card in question.

It is not a star - it is a piece of cheese.

Boy, you should get your eyes checked.
