I've been having a lot of fun recently running polls to determine BGG's favourite films and other things. I've been focusing on areas in which I have interest and have gained quite a lot of recommendations out of these. So far we have produced:

The BGG Top 100 War Movies
The BGG Top 50 Role-Playing Games
The BGG Top 50 Graphic Novels
The BGG Top 100 Horror Movies

Sci-fi is not yet complete, but is down to the Top 20:
Best Sci-fi TV Series: Top 20
Best Sci-fi Films: Top 20

The Fantasy genre is another of my loves, so here we go kicking off the Fantasy polls*.
Simply reply to this thread and suggest as many Fantasy TV series as you like. I will de-dupe before I start the poll.

Fantasy is really hard to pin down, so lets not agonize about what enters this - you can always vote them badly if you don't think they should be in the poll. Obviously Sword & Sorcery stuff is in, so it isn't hard to extend that to all Magic. That then gets us into Modern Fantasy. I've included Superheros. There is Supernatural stuff in here as well.
But lets avoid going too far into the realms of Sci-fi and Horror as these are already covered.
There is probably a decent slug of anime that could be added.

To kick start the competition I did a trawl of the net to try to find threads and lists where people had suggested films that might fit into this.

It's only a 9.0 rating on IMDB with over 2000 votes

I'm surprised to see some obscure Canadian shows on there! You're missing The Adventures of Sinbad in that category, though.

Also missing is The 4400. I've never seen it, to be honest, so I don't know if it's too science-fictiony for the poll. However, I'm under the impression that it is comparable to The X-Files and Heroes which both made the list.

There's also a new one called "Krod Mandoon"... I have the first two on my PVR, but I'm not sure what I'm going to think when I watch them...

I don't want to include shows that don't have consistent characters/storylines as they are so variable.

I'd call 4400 sci-fi, but I know what you mean.

Poll
4400
It is Fantasy, include it
It isn't Fantasy
It isn't Fantasy and neither is Heroes
It isn't Fantasy and Heroes and X-Files aren't Fantasy either

Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire. I really liked it for the most part.

Then you need to strike Are You Afraid of the Dark? - it's the same kind of show. (Night Gallery too, but I've not seen it so I'm not sure.)

A few more:

Avatar: The Last Airbender
Record of Lodoss War
Claymore

Good shout. I've taken both Afraid and Night Gallery out (I checked up on Night Gallery and it is like Twilight Zone).
Good additions, I've never heard of any of them!
