It's fun, it's healthy, it's good exercise. The kids will just love it. And we put a little sand inside to make the experience more pleasant.

At least he's trying to get a job the best way he can find. You can't fault him for that.

I was on screening committees for job interviews. Here are some of my favorites:

-We had a candidate walk in early and offered her a drink of water. She went over and served herself and guzzled the water and smacked her lips. A few seconds later her cell phone rang. She looked embarrassed and apologized while grabbing the phone--to simply turn it off, or so we thought/expected. She takes the call and tells the person she arrived OK, that she's at the interview, and that she'll call them back afterwards to tell them how it went!!! (The position was working with the public and would NOT allow cell phone usage. If the person didn't understand that it was wrong to actually take a call at a job interview, they probably wouldn't understand or follow a "no cell phone" rule at the actual job!)

-Several candidates arrived late and didn't offer an apology or excuse for their lateness.........making it appear like it was not important or significant to arrive late for an appointment.

-Several candidates came in that did not have a good command of the English language.

-A couple of candidates appeared that were not well groomed and/or did not appear clean.

It's been too long to remember direct quotes.....sorry!!

I had my fair share of bad interviews, since I'm really sarcastic that doesn't help when the interview goes sour. If you remember the one that the girl didn't like me because she was from a rival university, you can imagine how bitter one can get.

I hate those "what could your reference tell us that we haven't covered in the interview" questions.

I said I have a zero tolerance for dogfuckers. They called my reference. He was shocked I said that, but agreed. I got that job.
