Hi,

How many folks out there have tried the 1792 variant? What did you think?

http://www.alanemrich.com/Games_Archive_pages/TNW_1792.htm

Would this be worth submitting to C3i?

Daniel, I've already submitted it to C3i. :-) No word yet on whether they'll print it though ...

It looks cool. I'm just in my first PBEM game of TNW 2.0 on turn one. I love the period and the game seems pretty good. Maybe I'll have to give that variant a try some time.

I played this variant for the first time yesterday (with some clarifications for the 2nd edition). We had four players. It was very interesting and enjoyable.

The fact that you have small numbers of troops and very few leaders in the beginning makes for some interesting strategy. That, combined with the fact that Russia is neutral at the start, makes the Polish Uprising card far more significant in this variant, too.

I hope it makes it into c3i!

A question.

If Napoleon is eliminate, how re-build?

Build Napoleon? (Cost 8CP)
or, Build Bonaparte? (Cpst 4CP)

Napoleon is only "EVENT" counter.
logical thinking, Because Rule 7.2, Napoleon can't re-build.

Bonaparte is only "replace". Card 76's text is not said eliminate bonaparte. Only this rule : " Only one of these counters may be in play at a time."

How dose it?

You may rebuild him for 8 CP under normal circumstances. There is an event that lets you rebuild him for free, I believe.

Well, I'm afraid it'll have to wait. Whatever it was, I'm sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman round here?

I played it in 2010 and I was impressed. Austria is definitely not to be trifled with and the situation is more wide open.
