A few months ago, my sister planned her wedding in Ireland, as her (now) husband is from the Green Isle. We Americans had to pack up enough for a ten-day trip, including wedding clothes and provisions for the small gathering and celebration. I was the wedding officiant, and I was also assigned the task of helping lead games during the trip.
Here is a little piece I wrote and sent to my family before we headed off...

The Most Important Thing

For days and nights
without much stop
your tireless family
has been chained to laptops.

With emails and photos,
pressing buttons, and tying hair bows,
writing edits, finding quotes,
picking up gifts and penning (pre) thank-you notes.

For our main assignment,
we've done hand-made design,
photoshopped heart-pins
and made the favors divine.

We've haggled and bargained
for bulk prices and
good items:

San Francisco chocolates
(though less tasty than France's)
have been picked up and organized
to seal the romances.

As for the ceremony
to match your perfect harmony...
Books have been cracked
right down to the spine,
so that each quote is perfect
and each poem rhymes

(hopefully better than this one).

But regardless of labors,
of love or of barter
it's been very clear that
we are the martyrs.

Of what you may ask?
Well, the weight of this task
is both heavy and meaningful
and delightful and joyful.

See, though marriage is great
with the rings, and ol' "taking of names"
we all know the most important thing...

is the bringing of games!!

It took much review
and calculations of guests too,
to carefully pick
a special selection of fun
with a wide variety of games
for all of the curls and red-headed ones.

Two player games
for the nights of calm (or just boredom)
strategy games for those known to one-up-'em.
Beans for the traders
Head-to-heads for the haters
cards for the pokers,
and chats for thought-provokers.
Some party games for the drinkers
and ten-inch rulebooks for the thinkers.

So how, you may ask
do they tackle this huge task?
Well, dear ones, to be in the know
all you have to do
is look below...

And after:

(all in one gallon bag!)

All games shown above were played on the trip, in addition to two poker tournaments, lots of Bohnanza, and a giant game of Celebrity, foolishly played on teams by nationality. (There did have to be penalties for insults about halfway through.)
