Salutations, gentlefolk,

We're thinking of holding more "Lansdowne Games Days" this
fall, and trying to decide on the dates. There are,
unfortunately, only a limited number of Saturdays on the
calendar, so might I ask for your help in choosing between
them ?

September
5 (Labor Day wknd)
12
19 (Rosh Hashanah)
26 (Monday = Yom Kippur)

October
3
10 (Columbus Day wknd)
17
24
31 (Halloween)

November
7 (Fall In)
14
21 (Philcon)
28 (Thanksgiving wknd)

December
5
12 (Hannukah)
19
26 (Xmas wknd)

OK, Here's The Poll !
Please let us know - pick one (or more):

1 These are dates on which I'd definitely come.
2 These are dates when I might come
3 On these dates something else is going on
where I'd rather be
4 I have no suggestions for LGD dates, but keep me informed
5 Doubt I'll ever get to a LGD,
please take me off your mailing list
6 The Vikings and the Mongols ought to join forces
and erase Lansdowne from the map.

Lansdowne is a peaceful neighborhood in the west-southwest suburbs of Philadelphia, easily
accessible by public transit, though a bit far from the
expressway exits.

There's a Wawa across the street, two Chinese takeout places
and a Papa John's within two blocks, other food purveyors
nearby, and a farmers' market - until the end of October - a
block away.

We have facilities at the Garden Church which can comfortably
hold any number of gamers from 10 to 100 (though we'd
appreciate a bit of warning if more than 25 are planning to
show up).

There's no charge for attending or playing at the Lansdowne
Games Days, though contributions to help pay the church's
light and heat and water and maintainance bills are
definitely welcome (and we will probably be selling discount
coupons for Wawa's hoagies)

Let us know your preferred Saturdays, and we'll see which
dates will be most pleasing to thee multitudes.

Hoping to see you at a future LGD, I am,

Yours, John Desmond

PS - I'm thinking of Oct 3rd, Nov 14th, and Dec 5th...

PPS - Another October LGD, or a later date in October, is a possibility

What kind of games do you play. I went to highschool in Lansdowne and might be willing to attend.

Lansdowne Games Days - Fall 2009

The Garden Church
hosts the next Lansdowne Games Days
on October 3rd, October 24th and December 5th

These will run from 11:15 AM to 9:00 PM,
at The Garden Church, 82 North Lansdowne Avenue,
(the corner of Stratford Ave) in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania

For directions by car or SEPTA, see:
http://www.thegardenchurch.org/directions.html

The Lansdowne Game Days are a regular happening,
where we talk, socialize, nibble, and make friends,
bring people together for friendly competition, fellowship and fun.
play - and teach - games new and old
( You've heard about the new boardgames with innovative designs ?
Here's where you can see them and try them out ! )

Grownups, teens, 'tweens and children of all ages -
(although we hope they're old enough to realize
that the playing pieces aren't edible -
young children should be accompanied by an adult.)
- we'll try to make everyone feel welcome !
