If you lived in Ireland in the 1970s, the Horslips were your only men. The founding fathers of (God help us) Celtic rock. Cooler than anything before punk arrived over here. The Edge was inspired to pick up a guitar after seeing Johnny Fean at a Horslips gig in Dublin in the early 70s.

Good on ya Marty. a couple of old gems there. For my money the riff in Dearg Doom is still one of the most recognisable of all time.
