I am actually ordering a hexmap from Hotzmats.com for the game Canvas Eagles. I plan on eventually getting some Langton 1/1200 scale minis for Close Action and thought I could kill two birds here by odering a double sided mat with 3" hexes for Canvas Eagles and smaller hexes on the other side for Close Action.

I am thinking 1.5" hexes should work ok, but I am not sure. I basically just want the hexes to be big enough to account for the largest ship I would need for the game. I plan on making 'sleds' for the boats to fill the space in the hexes for smaller ships to make movement easier.

Anybody know this already or have an idea?

Thanks

We use 1.5" (38mm) Hexes in our group. (Langton minis with resin bases)
