Pretty results here: http://bgg.activityclub.org/olwlg/trades-summary.cgi?listid=...

Trade GeekList: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/44848

Request List: Just add comments here or at the bottom of the geeklist. This usually doesn't get that big.

Deadlines:

Submissions (including sweeteners): Saturday, Aug 8th, Noon Eastern Time

Want lists due: Sunday, Aug 9th, 10pm Eastern Time

Results Posted: Late Sunday, Aug 9th

Game Swap:

We're all grown people. Just arrange your own swaps. However if you are *not* going to be present on Saturday the 15th, please let people know in your posts. (Feel free to find people and swap on Thursday, I just want to have the fallback that *everyone* will be there Saturday as a last resort.)

Rules:

1. Use of JeffyJeff's very nice OLWLG tool will be required for this trade. He has been nice enough to make his tool available and I greatly appreciate the opportunity to not check hand-edited want lists. Please tip him for this gracious offer.

http://bgg.activityclub.org/olwlg/

There's a huge resource of help page for the OLWLG here:

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/wiki/page/OLWLG

Still, if you have any questions, pop them here.

2. For Non-game items to show up right on the OLWLG, they must be added as "Outside the Scope of BGG" (game id 23953) or "Miscellaneous Game Accessory" (game id 5985), and you need to add a short description inside tags, like below:

+altname+ 100 Geek Gold -altname-
+altname+ US$25 to www.BoulderGames.com -altname-

3. For sweetners to show up right on the OLWLG, please add them using the GAMEID tags.

4. Please accurately describe your game's condition, language, edition, etc.

5. Anything goes for entries and arbitrage. I don't care what you enter and I don't care what you put on your want lists. I suppose I should tell you to limit the alcohol, although that was a big hit at the last local trade. (And yes, I have moderated local math trades before.)

If you have a link to that, I'll happily swap it to acceptable currency (Amazon / Game Store cred).

I'm spoiled from running Math Trades away from BGG where absolutely anything goes.

Thanks for the heads up.

I think if you are the moderator shouldn't that be at your descretion. I know that some of the other MT moderator's don't approve of such postings, but they aren't moderating this one.

I say go for it. It increases the chance that items will trade.

I could be wrong, and I can't anything that specifically prohibits it anywhere. Perhaps a mod or veteran math trader can clear it up.

No worried Bryan. If anyone steps up and has a big issue with the cash I can swap it out.

Many of the moderators do have rules similar to that to keep item quality up. I'm trusting the small nature of this to keep it tight. I should probably put the rule "I reserve to be right in all matters." up there somewhere too.

If Aldie and the admin crew say anything, I will comply. Additionally, I will abide by JeffyJeff's requests since I don't want to hand edit want lists

Thanks for trading!

Never done a no ship math trade like this. Based on the progress thus far, I assume it's going to be pretty small?

As far as the cash being listed, I'm not the rules police and it doesn't bother me a bit. Thanks for putting this trade together, I'm interested to see how many trades actually happen!

Yea, I expect maybe another few entries before saturday.

And yea, there won't be *that* many trades. Does tend to be a higher % of total at least since shipping doesn't cost anything.

Hope you have a great time at gencon!

I was thinking about adding a few things to the MT. Seeing as how I'm flying to GenCon, the airlines changed my mind about that. $15 for the 1st checked bag and $25 for the second... each way!!! That's f***in' ridiculous! angry

Needless to say, I'm only bringing a small carry on with enough room for socks, undies, deodorant, a toothbrush and a couple of small card games.

I'm driving next time. After doing the math, cost of gas is less than the plane ticket + 2 checked bags. shake

Yeah it's what's keeping me from going in. I am not going this year, but know people in my game group that are flying in. Anything I see up that I'd want would take up some space for them, and I'd hate to do that as they likely need all the square footage they can get!

Okay, I've never tried using duplicate protection before. I followed the directions on the OWLG as best I could decipher them. Step 4 no longer has the big pink highlighted sections showing I was potentially doing something stupid, so that's good.

It now shows an entry for each of the duplicate protection games (Neuland, Tigris & Euphrates) with my name next to it. I have checked off the games I'd be willing to trade for each of these.

At the bottom of the list, it shows the original entries for these games with the names of the people offering them. I have no checks in these boxes at all. Is this how it should look?

Sorry for the post, but I've read about duplicate protection a few times and just can't wrap my head around it. Any help is appreciated.

Edit: after reading through the following page, I think I have it right. I guess we'll see.

Changed my mind on trading my copy of Tigris. I'll be submitting a blank want list for that. Sorry about that.

I had a second to look yours over. It looks like you did duplicate protection exactly correct.

Best of luck in the trade!

Sorry, man. :)

The only thing I would put on the wants would be to trade up for the other (double-sided) copy of Tigris. That just didn't seem right.

Good luck! I hope it works out for you.

Why not? Would work great in a math trade. As long as someone didn't care 1-sided or 2-sided then you *and* he would be happy.

Just sayin'...
