On the original board there was a connection from Serendib to the west.
I've just received the game and noticed that this connection is now missing. Is this a misprint or a deliberate omission ?

Others have already wondered this (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/426687), and the concensus seems to be: we don't yet know. laugh

The westward route out of Serendib was there in both the West End Games edition and the German reprint. I'm pretty sure that its omission in the current edition was accidental . I can't imagine any reason that it would have been removed intentionally. When I played the other day I noticed that the connection was missing and told my opponent to consider that the connection was still there as shown on the old map.

Hopefully an official answer from Z-Man games will be forthcoming.

Thanks Mont & Jim - I had missed the other thread asking the same question.
Perhaps one of our artful BGGers can provide an overlay for those who want the link back!

It is an error and in the FAQ we are developing we will say so.
