If I go to this URL to see what Kevin played in January 1980:

Same thing happens with the gallery - Say I want to sort by Recent, Game pictures, that I uploaded last month. It gives me a whole bunch of pictures, not only last month's.

This is intentional. looking up games played by date is a particularly intensive process for our database. In order to take strain off the system, any date before the games played recording system when online is treated as an arbitrarily early date.

Thanks Daniel. I don't get why that should be true though - does the query optimisation work better with fewer constraints? I'm just interested because I'm a nerd, that's all.

Date range checks, even if you have a key to constrain is really painfull on MySQL.so you want to avoid uit if possible.
