I talked to a friend at Gencon. He hadn't had time to fully examine his copy yet and so couldn't answer all of my questions, but:

Leoben is the third Cylon

and apparently

Dee's ability is any time that she uses communications, she gets to look at and move all civ ships. To be honest, that sounds more like a one shot to me, but that is what I was told.

Her drawback is she is executed when morale is 3 or lower (if human this execution does not result in a loss of morale).

He had not checked IC yet.

I am actually shocked by that. Not disappointed as I always liked Leoben... but I am truly surprised that D'Anna got passed over.

2 things about this: (1) her ability I don't think would be a one time deal, as she was pretty much BSG's Uhura in the early days of the show. (2) Her negative? DAMN!! That is awesome! Thematic and dangerous! I got a definite LOL outta that.

Guess that's one less against the limit of humans you can execute in a game, haha.

Interesting end-game implications there, though...if you've got a Dee in the crew, you'll essentially get your choice of characters for the final couple turns.

Hello all, I am at GenCon, taking a breather before dinner and a night of what promises to be ridiculous with Battlestar Pegasus happily in my clutches. I don't have too many details in terms of the gameplay (yet. Expect a session report tomorrow morning). However, here are answers to some of the questions above:

1) IC - The text now reads "All Skill Cards are played faceup during this Skill Check (excluding those from the Destiny deck). I like this change, honestly.

2) Characters

Leoben - skill cards 1 Pol, 1 Treach/Eng.
Glimpse the Face of God (Movement) - Draw 2 cards from the Destiny Deck, place 2 cards from your hand on top of Destiny Deck.
Cryptic Message (Action) - Once per game, exchange your hand with another player's hand (of skill cards, that is).
Clouded - You may not voluntarily move to a location that contains another character

Dee (Support) - 1 Lead, 3 Tac, 1 Eng
Efficient - When "Communications" is activated, look at every civilian ship on the board and move any number of them.
Fast Learner - Once per game, before a skill check, look at top 3 cards of any Skill deck (even outside your Skill set) and add all of them to either the Skill check or your hand.
Emotionally Fragile - When morale is reduced to 2 or less, you are executed. If you are human, do not lose 1 morale.

Kat (Pilot) - 1 Lead, 2 Tac, 2 Pilot
Hotshot - When you would roll a die during your Action step, you may instead discard a Skill card, using the card Strength+2 instead of the roll.
Sacrifice (Action) - Once per game while piloting, send yourself to Sickbay to destroy 5 raiders, 2 heavy raiders, 1 basestar or 1 civilian ship in your space area.
Stim Junkie - At the end of your Movement, if you are in the same location/space area you were in at the start of your turn, go to Sickbay.

3) Agendas
4/6 Players. You win if...
Guide Them To Destiny - humans win & population & morale are within 2
Convert the Infidels - humans win & all resources are at 3 or lower
Illusion of Hope - Cylons win and distance is 6 or more
Join the Colonials - humans win & you are Infiltrating and not in Brig or Detention
Prove Their Worth - humans win & 5 raptors/vipers are damaged or destroyed
Salvage their Equipment - Cylons win & 2 or less Galactica locations are damaged
5 Players. You win if...
Show Their True Nature - Cylons win and you are in Brig, Detention or been executed at least once
Reduce Them to Ruins - Cylons win and 4+ Galactica/Pegasus sites damaged and Morale is 3 or less
Siege Warfare - Cylons win and every resource is in the red
Genocide - Cylons win and Food & Population are 2 or less
Mutual Annihilation - humans win and you have played a Super Crisis
Grant Mercy - humans win and population, morale or food is 2 or less

I'm not going to type in every card, of course, but let me know what else you're interested in, and I'll try to answer. Also, look for a session review sometime late tonight or (more likely) tomorrow.

Thanks for the info. Leoben was my favorite boy cylon (I love all the females a lot, oddly enough). I was so sure it was gonna be Doral, though.

And thanks for the Dee info, I thought it was odd that she was pictured on the game board twice but didn't have a playable character.

Now I just want to know how well the New Caprica objective card works with the optional solo rules.

Bah! If this is the change they wanted to make, they could've saved the cards and just erattaed the rules that destiny plays last. Lame...
OTOH, I jut might swap these in for the 3s, and leave the 4 & 5s as they are...

This is really crazy. She is an amazing FTL engineer, able to jump without risk. On the other hand, she's an awful pilot. When galactica jumps, if she's in space, she returns to the hangar deck. If she starts her turn in the hangar deck, she can't jump out into space again! Bizarre.

Holy crap. This is going to be so unbalancing. 5 player with a friendly Cylon will be a cakewalk, while 4 or 6 player with a hostile one will be close to impossible. Basically there's a 1/3 chance of the game being ruined. :/

Don't the rules state that you only have a sympathetic cylon leader in a 4 or 6 player game though, and you only have a hostile on in a 5 player game? Therefore you couldn't have a 4 or 6 player with a hostile cylon and a 5 player with a sympethesier.

I don't mean "hostile" the game term, just "hostile" as in trying to get the Cylons to win. In the list of agendas, 2 out of 6 of the 4/6 player ones require a cylon win, and 2 out of 6 of the 5 player ones require a human win.

She does need to have a value 5 card in her hand, or a Strategic Planning and a 3, in order to safely jump though. And I'm a little vague if "your action step" restricts it to her turn or not (and, if so, and she XO's someone else, would their action be during her action step?); that would also be pretty limiting.

The Hanger deck thing is hilarious! I knew she couldn't land for crap; I didn't know she had the same problem taking off. She's also kinda crappy at escorting Civvies, since if she stays with them she's in sick bay before she gets to fire on the Cylons. Also, sucky President.
