Hi

Is there a way to repair vehicles?

Does light/heavy dmg tokens are removed as pinned/router?

While many things are 'video-gamey' about TOI, that is definitely not one of them. You can't repair damaged vehicles.

Yah, most repairs would take longer than the scope of the game allows for, not to mention being very dangerous to undertake in view of the enemy.
Vehicle crews were pretty quick to abandon their ride if something went wrong. I imagine they figured better safe than sorry and they could always come back later and see if it could be fixed.
As a matter of fact, I just read an anecdote on another forum where the guy watched the vehicle crew in front of him bail out without even stopping the vehicle. One guy said he smelled something funny, the other guy thought he heard something funny, the whole crew came to the conclusion they were on fire and bailed out. This was on a peacetime maneuver in Germany in the 80's...

So if your vehicles are Heavy damaged you are screwed

It depends on the scenario. In the Supply Deck I deck, there is the card "vehicle parts" which does the following:

Command Phase: Choose one of your vehicles. Remove a lightly damaged token from it, or flip a heavily damaged token onto its lightly damaged side. The cost of this card is reduced by 2 (to a minimum of 0) if you have at least one engineer unit in the vehicle┬┤s hex.

Suggested rule:

Engineer "vehicle Field repairs" special ability:

On same hex as damaged vehicle and in the same turn

* Need 1 actions to repair lightly damaged vehicle
* Need 2 actions to repair heavily damaged vehicle

- This action Provokes OPT fire from enemy units up to 2 hex away even if the engineer is already In the Relevant hex.
- If OPT fire is used, use REGULAR vehicle rules, if survives, repair action(s) may begin.(If hit and status changes use action(s) as above)
- After repair vehicle status changes to "field repaired" (Put an Engineer token as a marker) and Move/fire are normal

If hit again:

* 2+ hits destroyed
* 1 hit change status to heavily damaged no move / half fire / half range
Any additional hit(s), destroyed
* If attacked by Anti tank weapon, The attacking unit gets +1 to Fire (total of +4) range do not changes
* Can't be repaired again[/b]

I'll try it out in a game.
