Just thought I would introduce myself to everyone. I just started my collection of board games! I never know so many board games existed.
My friend got me interested in board games with Agricola and Power Grid. I thought I would look into other board games when I found BGG. Man I think I might have to go to rehab in a few years because I'm addicted.

I've already started a weekly board game night and hoping to start a weekly wargame night also. I really hope I am not getting over my head. Well here is a picture of the very beginning of my collection.

Welcome to BGG!

Save that picture... you'll laugh in a year or two when you are the proud owner of 50+ games.

One way to expand your collection: buy slightly used games at thrift stores like Goodwill or the Salvation Army. They are often priced at less than $5.

Thanks for the welcome.
Man my little apartment is not going to handle all those games. Will have to start looking for a bigger apartment! Scary...

We need to hang-out and discuss some new methods of display and organization, your collection isn't being done justice at all.

Seriously, Funky - what is that copy of Betrayal doing there getting crushed under like 10 other games? It hurts...

Yeah, I know. All I have right now is that Ikea shelves and the three bookcases. None of which were generally meant for that type of use. if you look at the Ikea shelves, you'll see they are starting to bow under the weight. I have another set of shelves meant for the square box games like Betrayal, but I'm trying to find some decent wall space that it will fit.

This looks like the Island of Misfit toys boardgames. I want to live around you just so I can take some games off of that 600 pound box crunching monster of a pile. The humanity!
