A while ago, the idea of a BGG.con on a cruise ship was posted. I tried searching & couldn't find any of the that info so either I am not good at the search function or the idea has long been put to rest.

Is this still being considered? It sounded like a great idea - especially since the timing would be different from the regular BGG.con. As I will never ever be able to attend a convention at Thanksgiving time, this was part of the attraction for me .

TIA!

It's here: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/362442

I still think it's a phenomenal idea, and would receive great support. It clearly was a popular idea.

Way too late to organize early 2010 now, though. It'd have to be later.

Thanks for the link! I have it "tagged" now so I can find it again. I think it would be a great idea...my DH wants to go on a cruise sometime and I want to go to a BGG event .

It sounds like a way to make the whole thing more expensive to me. And a way to get people sea-sick.
