Hi.

For melee combats, is it only one roll of a die? Or two, as in one for each player?

Do you usually try to enter keeps by secret passages? I find that a bit dangerous, risking to lose Robin Hood for 4 coins is a bit too much.

Thank you

Also, just to clarify. Alan a Dale, Marion, enter the game unrecruited, right? How about King Richard? Does he have to be recruited by Robin Hood, just like the others? Does he enter the game in disguise?

Two die rolls for Archery (one for each side), but only one die roll for resolving Melee.

It is dangerous, but sometimes it's the only way to rescue a prisoner. Also, remember that looting a castle gives Robin Hood money and also takes money away from the Sherrif player.

Alan a Dale enters unrecruited, but Richard and Marion enter recruited -- this makes them vulnerable since the Sherrif has chance to snatch them before the Merry Men arrive. Marion's slow movement rate makes it's awkward to protect her, too. Also, you put on disguises at the start of the Robin Hood movement phase, so Richard arrives dressed in his own fancy clothing.
