Thanks for your comments. The Assault Cannon sounds more like a single-barrel machine gun than a rapid-firing, multi-barrel automatic cannon. A minigun-type sound or an AH-64 Apache 30mm Chain Gun sound would probably be a more accurate simulation.
The different minigun sounds in Fallout 1, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics may provide some inspiration.

Hope you don't have the same legal issues teardown wen't thru using the actual GW games name.
There's optimism for you. *Of course* they're going to have the same issues, just as soon as it shows up on the corporate radar. GW are not known for having a relaxed or enlightened attitude to other people's use of their IP.
My advice is for people to grab the file while they can; it'll be squashed hard soon enough. Which is a shame, as Space Hulk makes a great setting for a computer game, and GW have shown no signs of using it as such for the last ten years or so.
I'm in agreement with not wanting to use the laptop while playing. However, in light of an iphone app, who is willing to make a 3 minute mp3 with a voice that announces the time remaining and or 'threats detected' sort of sounds ala space alert?
