Having only played this twice, and it was some time ago, but I still recall a question that surfaced whilst we played: how many huts can one buy, in total? As I recall it, on your personal board you only have some 5-6 places for huts. Is that a maximum limit or are the places there more for aesthetic purposes?

There is no limit to the number of huts you can buy.

I got in everyone's hostile little face. Yes, these are wooden cubes from boardgaming. Yes, I'm comfortable with that. I am enlightened.

The excess huts just go off to the side of the board but still count towards your final total.

We stack all acquired huts on one of the hut spaces, and use the other 4 spaces to store resources as we get them.

we actually use the 5 hut spaces to store food + the 4 resources and just place the huts to one side.

the huts spaces seem to correspond more imo with the 'divisor' icons above the spaces.
