I played this as a teenager starting with the origonal year.

It's a simple, yet elegant model which is fairly accurate, especially in modeling pitcher/hitter interaction. Much more so than APBA or Stratomatic.

I always liked this simulation best of them all, simply because it felt like watching a baseball game. Strat-o-Matic, for instance, felt more like logging accounting sheets or something.

By the way, I just uploaded my "Ultimate All-Time All-Star" game under the files section (not there yet). I made this about a decade ago to expand the game and include a few rules (most notably, defensive surehandedness and pitcher fatigue). After I sold out of the sets (I made 100), I decided to post it for others to make their own copies.
