I am really intrigued by this game, but my friends won't touch it. They ugh and spit and say it's deadly, deadly dull.

When I compare it to one of our favorites, Witch-Trial, it strikes me that the only missing element between the two is some way for people to get INTO their movie roles somewhat (as WT says, "please feel free to role-play the trial")

I was wondering if anybody had come up with a variant to save this cute little game?

You could add a role of the "Director" to choose who is "right for the part." So instead of letting chance and/or the game choose who is "right for the part." Maybe that will get your RPG friends involved.

I suppose they could come up with a name and a character trait for their ham actor, and play the game in-character - "Hubert J Chatsworth does not play bison!"

Or you could make them audition for the roles - "Okay. Show me your Falls From Tree."
