So, how do they know you won a prize if they don't even know your name?
shake

Boy, that's how they get lots of people. I've told solicitors on the phone who have told me I've won a free cruise/airplane tickets/gym membership/whatever that I am not interested in winning a contest that I have not entered!! They start getting hostile at that point.

Think about it. Australia, China, USA they are all continents, right. But they've specifically zoned London, a capital city and Algeria, a North African nation, I think. These guys are pros.

Yeah, I noticed that. I'm a bit worried about breaching their copyright, but the fastest way to get spam is to put an email address on a web page.

Pfff. That's nothing. I'm helping to rescue a Nigerian prince and his family is going to give me $4.5 million!

They even asked for my bank account info so they can transfer the money directly to me. Wow - rich and thoughtful!

I like the new Credit Card scammers that call you claiming to be your CC company and that they need to post a $750 credit to your account.

They know everything about you and your account (name, account #, address, etc.) All you need to give them is that 3-digit secret code on the back of your card...............

Why would a bank in China send money to an Englishman in USD?
