Just read a news article (http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/monopolys-hidden-escape-map...) Aparently during World War II
Monopoly Board Games were used to smuggle escape kits into POW camps and helped over a thousand soldiers escape.

The article covers how the Board Games were allowed as part of care packages to the POWs, and the way the british intelligence agencies developed a way to hide useful materials in the game such as a compass, file and a map printed on silk.

Wonder how much one of these boards go for now-a-days?

Just thought I'd post and share the link.

That was really neat, thanks for sharing.
The article did say that all the boards were destroyed, so I imagine they'd go for quite a lot.

Someone thrifted one not too long ago. Actually it may not have been one of these, but a 1946 version.

And how many people have to post this story? Does no one look at the forums and see it's already been posted?

Man think of how much one of those games would be worth if you could find one that had not been destroyed?

Is it true that John Kennedy's fondness for "Diplomacy" enabled him to pick up diplomatic skills when dealing with the Cuban missile crisis?

If so, maybe sending a few boardgames for Trump to play might help to save the Free World. At least that would be better than Trump spending his time on the golf course even if he does always going round in par or less (he says).
