Here are some tactical rules for helping other riders, which will give you the opportunity to plan genius and tactical attacks.
Only two riders: You can only use this rule with two riders. If you have split your team in two groups, for ex. a Mountainrider and a Tempo rider on a mountain climb (black tiles), you can let the Mountain rider drag the Tempo rider up the mountain with the black '1-10' dice. If you roll '8', you move the Mountain rider and the Tempo rider follows behind the Mountain rider.
When the terrain changes, you have two choices; let the riders ride for themselves by rolling for each rider or roll the '1-6' dice twice and let the two riders ride as a group.
The two riders are not allowed to swap and drag the other rider with thier '1-10' dice. But if they ride by themselves once and get together again, then they are allowed to drag each other.
Wait for a rider: If one of your riders catches and passes a team rider who's in an attack, you can choose to let him wait for the other ride by placing the rider on the same tile, the tile in front or the tile behind the other team rider. Now you can let one of the riders drag the other rider.
This can sometimes pay-out and be of big value in the hunt for seconds.
A team Captain kan only drag another ride with the '1-6' dice and not with the normal blue '1-8' dice.
Penalty seconds: In the extended rules ver. 2.0 Mountain tiles now count as 2 seconds per tile.
All other tiles count as 1 second per tile.
