Less talking about games and more playing games.
Print-n-Play Wargames and Miniatures Rules
Fall Recruits is about here, Sept 25-27, 2009. The con is in Lee's Summit Missouri, which is on the south east side of the Kansas City metro. Only $5 for 3 days of gaming and students are free!

While we do have a LOT of miniatures games, the number of board games being played is growing.

Lots of vendors. One local boardgame dealer normally sells new stock for way below retail. Lots of dealers with new and used miniatures, terrain, books, magazines, and dice. You interested in becoming a vendor? You will not believe how cheap it is. Geekmail me.

There is a silent auction that anyone can sell gaming stuff in, with a small percent of the sale going to the Organization of Strategic Gamers (the local high school gaming club).

From the web site...

"RECRUITS is primarily designed to introduce new players from all over the Midwest to miniature gaming. New gamers both young and old find RECRUITS an exciting introduction to Historical, Science Fiction, or Fantasy miniature and board games. To see what you may have missed, we have lots of great photos for you to look at from last year's RECRUITS.

RECRUITS also is an opportunity for experienced gamers to get together to have three fun filled days of miniature gaming and share in the joy of introducing new blood into the hobby."
