I'm looking for a boardgame that can be played with a diverse group, including crustaceans. I find when I play games with sea life, they always end up in some kind of argument.

Any suggestions?

I know it's off topic, since it's potentially violent, but you must mean this: Sharks and Jets

The squares on your chess board are definitely too small, and black is kind of faded out. Get a newer, bigger one.

Phew, I wuz worried this thread might not have anything to do with Space Hulk (third edition). I guess the exoskeletons were a metaphor, and the stainless steel blades. We're working on the "non-violent" bit -- perhaps the aliens' behaviour was always just part of a mating ritual?

Most German games are non-violent. However, I would take care not to choose any which propagate feudalism or otherwise belittle the cruelties of the past, by for example an all too benign depiction of kings or emperors. I'd rather teach my kid to be violent than to lead an oppressed life without freedom or liberties.

I just want to be clear here. These lobsters are not my children, they're my gaming buddies. I know, I know, it makes the entire situation even more ludicrous thinking that mature lobsters would resort to a knife fight as a way to solve an in-game problem.

I suppose Crazy Crab might insult the target audience, so it's out:

Shell Shock! is probably no good for the same reason:

Maybe the best option is Somethin' Fishy:
