Just wanted to put out the word about two board game events I'm hosting at Gryphon Shadow, October 3rd, at U Guelph. It's 5$ for an entire day of gaming ... how can you beat that?
1. Robo Rally Football
This is a team-based Robo Rally game played on multiple boards, where everyone is trying to battle for the same flag and bring it to the opponent's base ("end zone"), with some custom rules like fumbles, passing, interceptions, and hand-offs added to spice it up a bit. Come join the chaos! If you haven't played before, we'll explain all the rules. Sense of humor and general wackiness is not only welcome-- it's encouraged!
2. A two-round BGG top 10 relay: Agricola, Power Grid, Tigris & Euphrates, Puerto Rico, and El Grande.
You play two of these in a row.
The way this will work is that a random order will be determined; players choose what to play based on that order for the first round. When a game gets to its max, it will be closed to other players, so they'll have to choose a different game. Depending on how many people we get, we could play up to all of them, but probably will only be a subset. Players get points based on final rank; that rank determines the order they choose next round (1st players choose first, 2nd next, etc.) The only condition is that you're not allowed to play the same game you did in the first round. Again, players gets points based on rank.
Total accumulated points determines the winner.
If you want to play in either, please pre-register and sign up for the event online:
Hope to see you there!

I'll second this, and I'm glad to see that the KGB is holding it's monthly meeting at the event.
It's open gaming from 9am on - don't worry about the timeslots as things will be starting continually. And if Marc's euro's don't win over your evening plans, I'm looking for some brave souls to face the Horror of Arkham.
Cheers - Rob
