These were discussed in the design diaries and are mentioned explicitly in the rules including a possible download. It seems you will be able to play a shorter game by including just the last one or two campaigns preumably with a different setup. When will these be available?

Thanks

Excellent! It could be a good way to keep the first game under 2 hours while learning the rules.

Thanks

Here, here. It's great to see this idea make it through from Jerry's design diaries. I think RICHARD III (1483) would be a great way to learn the game.

Questions regarding the 1470 scenario:

If Henry is still a Prisoner is Prince Edward treated as the senior Lancastrian pretender?

That is an interesting question. The scenario notes do say that once Henry is "released", he becomes the Pretender and can move & fight normally. That would seem to indicate that Prince Edward is the Pretender unless or until King Henry is "rescued".

I solo-ed the 1470 scenario this afternoon and that was how I played it.

Grant?

I would say Henry VI is the senior pretender and you must rescue/activate him in order for him to use his treachery inducing ability. You would have to use Warwick to induce treachery, instead in this scenario, and hope he isn't lured by the other side.

OFFICIAL ANSWERS FROM TOM DALGLIESH EMAIL

Official Answers in Red

#1- In Scenario 2- Who is the pretender and who has powers of the pretender while Henry VI is imprisoned? Is there a pretender? does anyone have the pretender's missing power of inducing treachery?

Prince Edward would be the Pretender, but if he is dead, then the next senior heir.Henry VI becomes the Pretender if rescued.

#2- In Scenario 2- Does the scenario end following one campaign sequence
or does it end following two campaign sequences?

Scenario 2 was intended as one Campaign. But it could be extended to two campaigns if players agree.
