BGG.con is coming up and we should hold another meetup!

We should also think about a theme for the con as well...

I'm game. Perhaps we can more than you, I and Chris this time.

And here we all are again.

Definitely up for it. I definitely think we should up the ante this year and have an assignment or theme. Perhaps we can produce a Ken Burns-style documentary after the con?

Here is the first idea which popped into my head: how about pictures that make you focus on one particular spot/subject without resorting to depth of field blurring.

We have a couple of months to talk about topics though...

Assignment#1: Make Chapel look good in a photo. Level: Advanced.

*ping*, err *click*

So, has anyone been thinking about the upcoming BGG meetup? I know I have. I have also been playing around with recording video on the Canon 7D. Phew, there is a lot to learn and play around with. And there are a lot more possible toys to get which brings the DSLR more into the video camera realm.

My first hurdle was figuring out how to transcode the 4 gigabyte 12 and a half minute 1080p file into a more manageable form which can then be uploaded to vimeo or youtube.

Assignment#2: Whenever you see Chapel, make sure you take a picture of him... with a flash.

Preferably several. In fact... I think we should meet as a group at least once to find him and gang flash him.

Hmmm.. that didn't come out right. You know what I mean.
