I saw a personalized vehicle license plate that read "Adastra" in Orem, Utah. I wonder if it's someone's name, or just a big fan of the game!

edit: It may be a restaurant or something. Carry on.

Or someone with a strong facination of the stars, and wants to go there?

It can also be a metaphor for someone aiming high?

Originally, it definitely is such a metaphor.

"Ad Astra" is a part of popular saying in Latin, "Per aspera, ad astra" "Through difficulties, to the stars" (I'd say, philosophically belonging to a stoic way of thought).

Which of course means that you can reach lofty goals and raise higher by overcoming difficulties. Somehow like nowaday one would say "there's no free lunch" :-)

Of course, for humanity on the verge of extinction, the old saying takes a very real meaning.
