The rules state that each player should have a paper and pencil to keep score. I infer from this that means your own score is private.

But then I've seen people on here talk about ending the gameor not (when out of cards) based on where they rank in the score. Are you guessing that, or do you play with scores as public knowledge?

We've always played public with one person keeping all the scores in clear view, but I guess private could work too.
