I've been toying with the idea of getting this monster when it comes out. Can anyone tell me how many scenarios there will be that will only require 1 or 2 maps (there is a list on the GMT website but that was as of March 08, there was talk of adding some more scenarios).

thanks

Four: There is the Battle for Cherbourg scenario, Bloody Omaha, Operation Epsom and Cobra.

The campaign options are the entire campaign, and a start line from Goodwood-Cobra (July 19)

I was hoping to finish the Goodwood (alone) scenario, but it might not make it in time for the printer. That would be another one-mapper.

Planned for after-release:

Goodwood
St. Lo
Gold-Juno-Sword
and an early June start campaign.

The first three will all be one-map scenarios. They will likely be in a C3i issue.

Thanks for the update Dan. That seals the deal, I'll bag a copy of this game when it hits the UK shores.

Wow. All these one map scenarios make this a very good deal for those with limited space/time. I had already pre-ordered it, but if I hadn't this would have pushed me.

BTW I had a chance to fiddle with this for a limited time at WBC. Felt very smooth for a 'monster' game. Can't wait.

I'm looking at the Monster Game layout ... so exactly what would the dimensions be for the main playing area that are required, at a minimum, so the map does not over hang the table.

I want to make sure I have the space for the Big One. I can't think of many 6x6 tables in one's home.

Thanks,

Doc

2m by 1.8m seems about right

Thanks ... that's 6.56 ft by 5.91 ft (approx. 6'7" by 5'11")

I don't have any tables that size. Ugh!

I've got it on a 5' X 9' table. It's actually 5'1" deep, so there is a bit of overhang, but there is plenty of room on the 9ft side.

What a minute ... is the map width there 5.1 feet, or 5.91 feet????

I need a correct accounting of the size of the map at it's widest points.

Thanks! :)

I apologise for the confusing post I made above. 1.8m by 2m is the size of the table I'm using.

Maps themselves measure 61" by 77" on my table in the old money. I'd suggest using thin MDF or particle board overlays to expand table size.

Cheers
