Thanks for posting this!

Question:

What happens if we arrive at the hotel after 9:00 PM on Thursday?

The schedule says registration ends at 9:00 PM. Would we be excluded from the convention floor on Thursday evening even though we have already paid our entry fees? I was hoping to mingle.

Mingle away! I won't tell anyone and the BGG.con police will be too busy playing games at that time to care anyway.

Actually it's a relaxed friendly atmosphere there. I doubt anybody will notice your lack of name tag, so just walk in like you know what you're doing and scowl at anyone who looks like they might care about it. Then quickly get involved in a game!

I'm in the same situation: I'll be getting in on Thursday after 9 as well. I think they'll let us in, but even if they don't we can hang about in the lobby with a copy of Dominion looking like lost puppies and someone will sit down to play with us! whistle

Hey Jeff could you send this out as an email to the con registrants? It will be much easier to print from there

Don't worry about printing your own copy. The calendar should be included in your "welcome packet/swag bag" you receive at registration, and it will be posted in several locations on-site as well.

I created a google calendar with this schedule in case this is a useful format for anyone:
http://sites.google.com/site/bggconcalendar/home

For the events that didn't have a duration (Golden geek awards, Game show) I assumed 2 hours. If anyone has a better estimate let me know and I'll update.

Thanks for creating the calendar. I guess that the best way to use it is to copy important events to your personal calendar a couple days before the event starts. (To avoid confusion from all the overlaid events.)

Just an FYI to anyone traveling south on Sunday -- the Cowboys are playing, and last year, the hordes hit the highway around 3pm. My crew and I cut out around 2pm, and just missed the traffic.

Good point, but it's also worth noting the Cowboys are in their new stadium in Arlington now. Traffic around there will be just as bad if not worse, but it's further away from the con, and not really on any of the main arteries away from the con, so I don't think it will have as severe of an effect as in the past.

Yeah, usually people who show up Monday Wednesday make their own fun. the Library isn't open at that point, but some people (especially locals) bring their own games.

I will be there Wednesday with prototypes of Tasty Minstrel releases for next year (Belfort, Train of Thought, Wizard's Tower) as well as some submissions we're considering - if you're interested in any of that. I just posted a session report from last night's game of Belfort which was a really good, interesting, tight game.

The times for the Tasty Minstrel Winner cleans Up events have been set!

Dogwood room, Thursday at 2pm - learn and play Homesteaders!

Then at 4pm come back to learn and play Terra Prime!

Get a rules presentation from me, then play a game, and if you win, you really clean up - you get to keep the game!

If you don't win the copy, never fear... we'll have copies in our booth. And if you miss the event you can still get a demo at the booth as well.

See you at BGG.con!

I am also going to running an unofficial event - "Stump the Chump" on Friday. The first 5 players that beat me at my own game (Triumvirate) will win a free copy.

I'll post details and a sign up sheet soon.

Rules are not posted on line, but Ender's excellent review http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/449803 tells (and shows) you all you need to know.
