I am liking the reviews of this game. I do have Mississippi Queen though. Are these too similar???

Too similar, no. The only similarity I can see is the variable course layout but even then MQ is a random affair which plots itself, ST is pre-planned.

The movement mechanic is very different with the cards vs the coal paddle wheel gizmo needing a different mindset and approach. Add in the straight race of ST vs MQ needing to pick up passengers and I'd say that they are utterly different games.

I have both but have to say that I prefer Snow Tails.

We've played both very recently - add another vote for 'very different'.

I think the only real similarity is that they're both very good race games.
