Are there political periodicals, websites or other media that you've found good enough to pay a subscription for? I'm not looking for recommendations, per se; I'm just curious.

Personally, I used to subscribe to The Nation many years ago, but dropped it as my interests changed - although I still own a copy of The Best of The Nation.

If the Economist qualifies in your book, that's about it for me. The rest I'll get by monitoring some sites for interesting free content.

The Atlantic, because even though almost everything is available online, it's always stuffed full of interesting articles I didn't know I wanted to know about.

I used to subscribe to French weekly "Le Canard Enchainé", but not anymore. I get everything from free internet content now.

I donate to NPR and subscribe and/or buy a decent number of periodicals, such as Foreign Affairs and the Atlantic.

Well, when I saw the thread title, I clicked on it to write-in "Sunday NYT", so count this as a vote of support.

To me, that name's just a little too close for comfort.
