. . . BUTTER!

I have been making my own cultured butter, from scratch, all summer long. It's delicious!

Paul is now trying to convince me that I need to start grinding my own beef for burgers too.

I told him soon we need two cows for the backyard: one for dairy and one for beef.

I use only Pink Himalayan Salt in my homemade butter.

No matter what anyone may try to convince you to believe, nobody really ever wins a butter eating contest. Once bitten, twice shy.

Unslated as the salt can come later and unsalted is better for cakes.

But who said you can't have butter AND bacon?

This reminds me of the contractors assigned to paint a church, but who decided to water down their supplies to save money. Of course, it wasn't long before the church looked as bad as before. The contractors, feeling guilty, approached the minister to tell them what they had done. The minister replied, "repaint, and thin no more."

Look, it's very simple. Butter comes in a rectangular stick. It doesn't come in a roll-on; it doesn't come in a tub. It's solid when it comes out of the fridge and it's unsalted. Period.

Similarly, bacon comes raw and must be fried in a pan (or nuked, if you're short on time). All other faux bacon substances must be avoided at all costs. And I don't care what the box says, "ready to serve" bacon isn't "real".

Follow these basic rules and your meals will be a delight and all Chit Chat will embrace you. Ignore them and the angels will cry at every transgression and you will never be loved.
