Does anyone know the letter distribution of the 104 tiles? I can't seem to find any info on this game online, and I'd like to know how the tiles differ from 144 Bananagrams tiles.

There are 110 tiles in Appletter, the instructions say the letter count is:

A-10
B-2
C-2
D-4
E-12
F-2
G-2
H-3
I-9
J-1
K-1
L-5
M-3
N-7
O-8
P-4
Q-1
R-8

Y-3
Z-1

The following table gives the letter distributions for Bananagrams, Scrabble (without the blanks), and Snatch: (sorry about the formatting)

As can be seen to convert your Bananagrams set for Appletters remove the following tiles:

A-3, B-1, C-1, D-2, E-6, G-2, H-0, I-3, J-1, K-1, L-0, M-0, N-1, O-3, P-1, Q-1, R-1, S+2*, T-1, U-3, V-2, W-2, X-1, Y-0, Z-1

* Note you do not have enough 'S' tiles for the game. However, I doubt it would dramtically change the game having only 75% of the 'S' tiles available ... it would play as if the other 3 players had all the 'S' tiles.

Thanks for the responses!

I broke down and bought Appletters because Bananagrams remains so popular with my groups. The Appletters are thicker and chunkier so that they'll stand upright like a domino. And they're bright white. I prefer the Bananagrams tiles. Still no wildcard tiles even in the pears and apples.
