We had hoped to announce this by November 1, but it was a very close call this year for the Hot New Essen Game with many worthy contenders. A key consideration became availability and, in the end, we decided to go with a game that has been out for awhile, Endeavor. For Wild Card tournament purposes, Endeavor will be designated a Class B Wild Card game (3-5 players). For those of you who haven't snagged a copy yet, there should be copies available from either Z-Man or Canton Games, the official EQ vendor.

Another game that received serious consideration is At the Gates of Loyang, which is designed by Uwe Rosenberg, designer of Agricola and LeHavre which are already included as part of official EuroQuest events. We expect to have multiple copies of the English language edition of this game available from Tom McCorry and others who managed to snag a copy from the recently completed Essen convention.

Finally, Zev of Z-Man games plans to have a demo copy of Dungeon Lords, another highly rated new game from Essen that unfortunately is not yet in print or available for purchase.

Other news: As posted elsewhere on BGG, there is an officially sanctioned no-Ship math trade, check the "Outlaw events" page of the website and the game designer of PowerMage54, a quick playing card game, will be on hand Saturday with a scheduled demo at 2 PM.
