Its the postage that kills from the USA.
I would likely pay as much as the game to have it sent here, plus a 2 month wait and likely a customs fee on top of that.
The 2 main owners of 2 of the largest Australian games importers whom I shall name "Tango and Cash" for the sake of legal back lash over their real names, are both unethical at best and profiteers at worst.
If you will pardon the pun 2 men running 2 rival companies hold the monopoly on games imports in Australia.
Tango fights with Cash, Cash fights with Tango, over who sells what product, they pretty much just make up the RRP as they go along, NEVER pass on any savings gained thanks to the strength of the dollar, hold stock in their warehouses and slowly bleed it out to pump up demand, and all in all make the gamers in this country pay and suffer for products they want.
Its a bitter country to be a gamer in, new products come in in small quantities and gamers fight over them like a seagull with a french fry.
Import logistics are also a nightmare mostly because we are the worlds largest island with cities all along the coasts and a huge "road warrior wasteland" that takes up the whole middle of the country.
I dream of a day when some bold business messiah comes to save us from the profit pirates
