A simple strategy that works well with the two-eyed (wild) Jacks is to wait until you have four in a row to play them. Even if you have the card (non-Jack) to get five in a row your opponent(s) may make a play which prevents you from getting a sequence and you no longer have your Jack to place elsewhere. For the one-eyed (remove) Jacks, only remove another players chip when they are close to getting five in a row. Don't just remove a chip because you need the spot (unless playing with partners). Wait until you can put a chip on the space. Only give your opponent one chance to put a chip back onto the spot, don't give them any more then you have to. If you are playing with partners use your Jack to remove the chip when you have 4 out of 5 in a row even if you don't have a card that lets you put a chip there because your partner might.
