I found it in "Top Ranked" - couldn't find it in the other lists.

For those of us with bandwidth limits/geographical blocks: what did she have to say?

Taking her at her word, I've just sent them a blurb suggesting that the Geek might be a good resource. They have a link on the "Be A Part Of The Show" section of the site asking for ideas for games they could play on the show ( http://ellen.warnerbros.com/show/respond/?PlugID=99 ), so anybody similarly inclined could write to them as well. Here's what I wrote:
Quote:
I was really pleased to see Ellen's monologue about playing games, and I thought that she might be interested in a website called BoardGameGeek.com that's been helping people find out about great games for nearly 10 years. The site lets people review games, post photos, ask questions about rules, and just wallow around in games. As part of the 30,000 games listed on the site, it has information on some of the weirdest ones in existence, some of which could be really great on the show. If you invited the site's owner, Scott Alden, he could undoubtedly bring along some, and talk about games as a fun activity for families and friends. Here are a few of the more telegenic games on the site:

Hamsterrolle - http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/903
Snifty Snakes (shown in photo) - http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/15819
Shocking Roulette - http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/8813
Loopin' Louie - http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/327
Bandu - http://www.geekdo.com/boardgame/1231

Just to be clear, I've got no financial interest in the site, I'm just a big supporter. It's a great community, and a great resource. If Ellen really thinks people should play games, spotlighting "the Geek" would be a great way to spread the gospel, as it were. She could do for games what Oprah has done for books.

That we shouldn't stop playing games as adults, is basically the "message" of her monologue.

So true ...

"We do not stop playing games because we get old,
we get old because we stop playing games."

That was interesting. lol A little funny too. I actually thought it was funny with the "Know or Go" "take home version of the game"
