The Coat of Arms of Clan Montgomery - Scotland. Yes, that's a woman with the head of a savage in her hand, and an anchor. No clue what it means, but it's cool.
How much more complex or how much deeper is the learning curve of Hellenes vs HotS? I ask because either will be my first block game ever.
If you only buy one block game, this a great starter. You can "step down" from it to play HoTS and/or Richard III, or you can "step up" from it to play EastFront II.
While theme always matters, this particular game design seems very well-integrated and play-tested. And once you play a few games, the rules are pretty intuitive (not that hard to grasp as it might at first seem).
Good luck with this. Of the two, and owning several block games, I would definitely recommend Hellenes as a first purchase if you have any interest whatsoever in the theme.
